The local land owner has recently received preplanning application advice from Herefordshire Council, conducted the relevant surveys and is now seeking the views from local residents about the initial ideas. This informal consultation will be open until 15th May. Following this, the applicant will submit a planning application when the formal consultation will start through Herefordshire Council.

Safer Drop off for Weobley Pupils

We are pleased to confirm that from January 2026 the 461 Sargeants Bus will drop off the Weobley Pupils in the village at the end of the school day. This follows years of concerns over safety of the children exiting the bus on the A480 as well as the large group of children using the narrow path on Station Road at the same time.

The bus will now come into Credenhill and drop off the pupils at a single location in the village, Sargeants are currently working with Herefordshire Council to agreed the drop off location and turned point.

The Parish Council would like to thank Cllr Charlie Taylor for working so hard to make this a reality.

Mike’s Memorial Crank Up

On 21 September Hereford and district preservation society held a vintage engine crank up and vehicle display at the social club, station rd Credenhill in memory of the late Michael Bond.

Mike was chairman of HDPS for some 24 years, he was a good friend to many in the vintage world and the motor trade. Mike had worked in the construction industry and a machine shop making parts for Concorde and finally ending up at Bay Horse motors as retail shop manager. In retirement he could be found at a vintage show almost every weekend during the summer.

Around 60 people attended the event and an excellent buffet was provided by the Life and Soul kitchen from Credenhill.

A prize raffle and collection in aid of Prostate Cancer UK raised £455.

Credenhill Pharmacy – Have your say!

We have been informed by the NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB) that the application to open a pharmacy in Credenhill has been deferred.  What that means is that the decision, by the Pharmacy Committee, on whether a pharmacy is needed in Credenhill will be made following a consultation.  The ICB do not have any influence over this, but have advised that they can provide information to the committee in order to assist their decision.  One of the things that they could report is contacts from residents who would like to see a pharmacy being opened in the village.

This is where we need your support!

The ICB have advised that if any residents would like to provide feedback to the ICB on their views on a potential pharmacy, then they can do so via:  hw.primarycare@nhs.net or by writing directly to ICB, St Owen’s Chambers, 22 Owen Street, Hereford. HR1 2PL. we encourage all residents of Credenhill make their views on a pharmacy known to the ICB ASAP.  The patient voice is important as part of all the decisions that are made and that if they have views or have experienced issued getting their medication since HMG stopped dispensing, the ICB would be happy to pass them onto the pharmacy regulations team who are looking at the application.

That does not guarantee that an application will be approved though.

As an aside, the ICB are aware that some patients have been receiving deliveries from pharmacies – they have advised that the delivery service is not a funded service – it is done by pharmacies on a goodwill basis and cannot be guaranteed to continue. Please bear this in mind, if you currently have your medication delivered and this is stopped would a Pharmacy in Credenhill be the solution.

In terms of timescales the consultation and decision making process will take a number of months and if a decision is made to open a pharmacy then the site will need to be redeveloped.
